African American Achiever’s Academy (A5) - is a youth leadership training institute, created by the AAHAB, designed to educate, empower, inspire, and invigorate high school students by providing leadership skills that promote and enhance the quality of life for themselves, their families, and the community.
To provide youth in the City of Aurora with leadership skills needed to become successful students and engaged citizens. Through leadership development, the youth will address and resolve issues that the African American youth confront; ultimately serving as the youth voice for the City of Aurora African American Heritage Advisory Board!
• Open to 20 City of Aurora High School Sophomores and Juniors
• Must possess at least a 2.3 GPA
• Must submit application along with 1 recommendation
